Shady Cats is a colorful 2D arcade platformer where you control an adorable cat, collect acorns, and try to survive against shadows that repeat your previous movements. Every step and jump can create a new threat, turning your own path into a dangerous obstacle. Play alone or share the keyboard with up to three friends in a lively local multiplayer challenge.

How to Play Shady Cats

Move across platforms and collect as many acorns as possible while staying away from your shadow. The shadow retraces the route you have already taken, so changing direction or returning to a familiar platform can put you in danger. Plan your movements carefully, time your jumps, and avoid crossing paths with the shadows chasing you.

Collect special items to improve your chances of survival. Fish can provide extra rewards but may attract troublesome bees, while fireflies help remove active shadows. In some modes, you can also choose power-up cards such as Shield, Vanish, and Magnet to gain useful advantages. Try Crazy Mode for a tougher challenge, or invite up to three friends to play together on the same keyboard.

• Player 1 – Left / Right Arrow Keys – Move left or right.
• Player 1 – Up Arrow – Jump.
• Player 2 – A / D – Move left or right.
• Player 2 – W – Jump.
• Player 3 – J / L – Move left or right.
• Player 3 – I – Jump.
• Player 4 – F / H – Move left or right.
• Player 4 – T – Jump.
• Esc / P / Tab – Pause the game.
